Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to find storage at the Lake, regardless of ability or the device or assistive technology they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

What we have done

• Keyboard-accessible navigation, including a mobile menu and skip link
• Descriptive labels and error messages on every form field
• Semantic headings, landmarks, and list markup
• Consistent, high-contrast focus outlines on every interactive control, including the mobile menu, search filters, and listing cards
• Live announcements on the search page, so screen reader users hear the updated result count when filters change and hear which facility was selected from a listing or a map pin
• Text alternatives for meaningful images

How we evaluate this site

We run automated WCAG 2.1 AA testing with axe across the main pages on both desktop and mobile screen sizes, and pair it with manual keyboard and screen reader checks. Our most recent scan found no Level AA violations.

Known limitations

Interactive maps are inherently visual. Every facility shown on a map is also listed as text with its name, address, and city, so no information is available only through the map.

A few best-practice items, below the Level AA threshold, are still open: a footer block that sits outside a page landmark on some pages, one skipped heading level inside search result cards, and a sidebar nested within the main region on listing detail pages. Text contrast over hero and card photography is verified manually rather than automatically. We continue to review other areas of the site as we add features.
